I chose this photo for still life, because I think it shows good compositional techniques like the texture of the shells. I also like this photo a lot because I like how the mirror in the background shows the back of the starfish.Shutter Speed: 1/20 sec

These photos are also of still life, and they are also of shells. The smaller shells were brought back from Ft. Lauderdale beach, and the starfish and other large shell were brought back from a beach in California. The photo with the marbles was taken through a glass jar which is why the photo is a little blurred. I think these photos were pretty decent, but I found the starfish photo to have the most compositional techniques.
Kailey this is a really good picture! I love how the objects are placed, and the coloring in the picture look really good too. And awhh, this brings back childhood memories from when I'd always go to the beach in California :)

ReplyDeleteLove this! I like the choice of still life you chose, it makes this a more interesting picture. Maybe next time try different lighting. You could get really good contrast with darks and lights if you did that. Great pic!
