nature

I chose this photo because I feel as if it has a very clear focal point. It also has many compositional aspects like the rule of thirds, texture, and pattern. I also like how the flower has many layers, and how the texture of the leaves is present.

ISO: 400
Aperture: f/4
Shutter Speed: 1/400

I took a lot of other nature pictures which I also really like. In a lot of the pictures, some things were blurry because of the sun and the fact that I took the pictures in mid-day.

  1. Kailey,
I really enjoyed this photograph. I love how the flower is positioned in the bottom left corner of the picture, and how it's in black and white. Maybe next time you could try getting more of just the flower itself.

  2. Hmm...it's a nice photo, but there are some things I'd change. First, I wouldn't have put it in B&W. It makes the photo seem kinda bland because of how everything is mostly the same shade of gray. And second, the flower isn't the most focused part of the photo. That can take away the focal point of the picture. If you were to change those things though, then it would be an exceptional photo.

  3. Kailey,
To start off I think that you took a really nice picture. I love how you had used the Rule of Thirds and off-centered the flower, and how it was surrounded by leaves in the background. The only criticism I have is that I would have liked to see at least the flower in color, so that it could draw your eye to it even more. But overall great job! :)

  6. I like your picture. I don't think you should've made it black and white though. It seems bland and one-toned. I like the angle you took. Good job!
